The first true four-seater Lamborghini was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1968. Named Espada and designed by Marcello Gandini, it was positioned in the range between the 2+2 Islero and the already legendary Miura. At the time, it was the fastest four-seater car in the world, with 325 horsepower beneath its seemingly endless front bonnet. In November 1969, the Espada Series II was introduced, with modifications including a revised dashboard, new brakes and an increase in power to 350 horsepower.

At the 1972 Turin Motor Show, the Series III brought a number of improvements, including very useful power steering as standard, a more conventional dashboard and new wheels. Produced until the end of 1978 in just 1,224 examples across all versions, the Espada is an exclusive, high-performance and stylish car. The car offered is an example of the Espada's final version, the most accomplished Series 3. It left the factory in Bologna in May 1975. Originally grey, this Espada was destined for the French market, as attested by the Lamborghini certificate of origin.

In 1993, it became the property of a famous French cyclist, who kept it for more than 20 years. Its history is pleasingly marked by regular maintenance from renowned specialists such as P3 Automobiles in Cannes and Provost Automobiles in Le Mans. Recent work includes a complete overhaul of the brakes and the fitting of new tyres. The V12, equipped with six Weber carburettors, starts at the turn of the key, and the brakes are more than up to the task of handling its power. Now finished in a rich blue that elegantly complements its "Senape" (mustard) interior, this S3 is in very good presentation condition.

This car, which made its mark on its era, is a genuine opportunity to access the Lamborghini legend.
