Announced at Paris in 2002, the stunning Enzo paid tribute to Ferrari’s legendary founder and the marque’s return to Formula 1 dominance, coinciding with Ferrari’s 2002 World Championship, won by Michael Schumacher in record time. The Enzo supercar’s specifications read like those of an F1 car, including its carbon-fiber chassis, carbon-ceramic disc brakes and a paddle-operated F1 6-speed gearbox. Pininfarina’s body design emphasized the Enzo’s F1 racing heritage with a pronounced nose and giant rear air diffusers. Computer-controlled adaptive aerodynamics deliver amazing grip with minimal drag.
The Enzo’s 5998cc V-12 engine delivered 651 HP and 484 lb-ft of torque, good for stunning performance credentials, including 0-60 MPH acceleration in 3.3 seconds and the quarter-mile in just 11.1 seconds at 133 MPH. Strictly limited Enzo production dictated that only existing Ferrari owners were invited to buy one. Just 349 cars were originally planned, and all were already sold before production began. Later, after numerous requests, 51 more cars were made, with the 400th Enzo presented to Pope John Paul II.
While already enjoying exceptional rarity as one of 400 produced from 2002 to 2004, of which 127 were exported to the U.S., this 2003 Ferrari Enzo is the only example painted in Rosso Dino (Dino Red). The odometer reads 3,746 miles at the time of writing. Based on a monocoque chassis, the Enzo is powered by a 6.0L/651 HP DOHC fuel-injected V-12 engine, featuring four overhead camshafts with variation control and Bosch Motronic ME7.1.1 ECU engine management. An F1 6-speed automatic gearbox delivers the power.
Cloaked in carbon fiber bodywork, the Enzo features F1-derived suspension, continuously adaptive Skyhook dampers, carbon ceramic 4-wheel disc brakes, the Bosch 5.3 anti-lock braking system and a limited-slip differential. Handsome alloy wheels include tire pressure monitoring. Automatic climate control delivers comfort on command. In addition to its window sticker, this Enzo benefits from a major service performed in December 2024, with receipts accompanying the vehicle.
