Announced by Ferrari on 8 April 2010, the 599 GTO—standing for “Gran Turismo Omologato”—was a road legal iteration of the track-only 599XX. It was claimed to be the fastest production Ferrari ever built at the time of its debut.
Powered by a 6.0-litre, 670 PS V-12 engine, the 599 GTO had a top speed of 335 km/h, and could reach 100 km/h in under 3.3 seconds. The GTO shared the weight reduction of the 599XX, making it 100 kilograms lighter than its road-going sibling—the 599 GTB. As befits such a special model, Ferrari limited production to just 599 units globally.
This 599 GTO was manufactured in September 2010 and supplied new to the first owner via the Italian dealer, Rossocorsa S.r.l., on 29 September 2010. This example was exquisitely specified, with the paintwork finished in a rare two-tone colour combination of Blu Scozia with Grigio Silverstone highlights on the roofline and C-pillars. The car was also specified with several carbon fibre components, including door sill covers, headlamp surrounds, racing seats, and wheel caps. Inside, the cockpit was exclusively an all-Alcantara affair; the carpets, dashboard, headlining, seats, and steering wheel were all trimmed in the special-order colour of Blu Scuro. Further optional extras included a Bose HiFi system, iPod connectivity, rear parking sensors, and satellite navigation.
The consigning owner has owned this stunning 599 GTO from new, during which time it has covered a mere 15,961 kilometres. The car is accompanied by a Ferrari Classiche “Red Book”, owner’s manual, and toolkit.
With its extensive options list, stunning Blu Scozia paintwork, and Blu Scuro interior, this 599 GTO is surely one of the most appealing examples from a limited production run. It presents a rare opportunity to acquire a single owner, low-mileage example of Ferrari’s landmark grand tourer.
Der von Ferrari am 8. April 2010 vorgestellte 599 GTO – für Gran Turismo Omologato – war eine straßenzugelassene Version des Rennwagens 599XX. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt galt der 599 GTO als der schnellste Serien-Ferrari aller Zeiten.
Der von einem Sechsliter-V12 mit 670 PS angetriebene 599 GTO hatte eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 335 km/h und erreichte 100 km/h in weniger als 3,3 Sekunden. Der 599 GTO profitierte von den Gewichtssparmaßnahmen des 599XX, was ihn 100 Kilo leichter machte als das Schwestermodell 599 GTB. Dieser 599 GTO verließ die Werkshallen im September 2010 und wurde am 29. September 2010 über den italienischen Händler Rossocorsa S.r.l. ausgeliefert. Dieses Exemplar wurde besonders außergewöhnlich ausgestattet, unter anderem mit der eleganten Zweifarb-Kombination aus Blu Scozia mit Akzenten in Grigio Silverstone an der Dachlinie und den C-Säulen. Dieser 599 GTO hat beim einliefernden und einzigen Besitzer lediglich 15.961 Kilometer abgespult. Zum Auto gehören das „Rote Buch“ von Ferrari Classiche, eine Betriebsanleitung und ein Werkzeugsatz.
