There is little doubt that Ferrari made superlative touring cars as typified by the 250 series of cars, the 275 and latterly the 365 in all its forms. The Mk. I 330 sported a four litre, V12 engine and just 500 rolled of the production lines at Maranello. These are small numbers and followed on from the earlier 250GTE but fitted with the newer higher-output engine and the new quad-headlight design. The fantastic Gioacchino Colombo designed high output 300bhp engine adorned with triple Weber 40DCZ/6 carburettors and mated to the four-speed manual gearbox complete with a versatile overdrive unit (operational on 3rd and 4th gears). This combination took the vehicle from 0-100km in just 6.3 seconds. Clearly one of the fastest cars of the early/mid-sixties era and had very few rivals.
With a total run of a mere 625 units, this Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 is in superb order and finished in the most delightful colour combination of Azzurro M Italver complemented by Pelle Blu leather trim. The interior is neatly finished with a wooden dashboard. This example has been restored and, to be expected of such a desirable vehicle, completed to a high standard. The Borrani wire wheels complement the car even further aesthetically; this is a fabulous vehicle. Open the bonnet and it is hard not to be impressed, the presentation is commensurate with the rest of this Ferrari.
Turn the key and let the four litre V12 engine burst into life and suddenly you are driving one of the most desirable and powerful cars of the sixties. This lefthand drive 330 GT 2+2 Series I is an exquisite example, viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the quality of this delightful Ferrari.
