Alfa Romeo’s 2600 was the storied Italian marque’s flagship for much of the 1960s and succeeded the 2000 series. Debuted at Geneva in 1962, the 2600 remains particularly famous as the last Alfa model to be powered by a DOHC inline six. It was available with three body styles: the four-door Berlina with factory bodywork, the Bertone-bodied Sprint Coupe, and the gorgeous two plus two Spider by Carrozzeria Touring. Produced through 1967, the model’s 2.6-liter powerplant featured dual-overhead camshafts and triple side-draft carburetors to deliver 165-hp. Never produced in large numbers, the 2600 delivered a wonderful blend of characteristically Italian design and spirited driving dynamics for its discerning buyers, with just 2,255 Spiders ultimately built.

The interior of this 2600 Sprint has a soft tone with its blue seats, red carpet and white exterior. The manual five-speed transmission has a shifter that stands tall through the center of the floor with its red leather cover. Other unique attributes are a distinctive front grille, trunk-mounted battery and factory steel wheels with dissociated hubcaps. Bucket seats and seat belts along with a passenger side grab-bar make for a comfortable ride, while the Veglia instrumentation in kilometers gives you that authentic Alfa Romeo feel.

All Alfas including the 2600 Sprint are race-bred, they hold the road better, corner as if on rails and their servo-assist disc brakes on all four-wheels assure stronger deceleration capabilities.
