This 1950 Land Rover Series 1 80” wheelbase model is finished in the classic Land Rover shade of deep Green with accompanying dark green soft top. This iconic Series 1 was despatched new to well-known and Land Rover approved Grimsby, Lincolnshire dealership, DH & AH Bloomer. It was first registered in Holland, Lincolnshire in November 1950 and remained in the Lincolnshire area, being regularly used, for a decade until early 1960 where it is believed the Land Rover was taken off the road and left untouched.

It was in April 2004 the vehicle was purchased with the intention of having it restored to its former glory. The following years saw the Series 1 fully stripped revealing the trusted Land Rover engineering had withstood the test of time with all major mechanical components still in exceptional condition. During this extensive restoration, the Land Rover was treated to re-dipped galvanised components, new bulkhead, completely re-bushed, new leaf springs and even a new undercover hood and seats were installed. The paint remains in exceptional condition with all the body panels visually straight. While the spare wheel is currently stored at the rear, the bonnet retains the original mounting points to complete that classic agricultural look.

Fitted with period correct Series 1 steel wheels that have been refinished in Bronze Green, the Land Rover looks the part from top to bottom and even features a complete set of matching front period correct square seats and matching trim rear bench seats. Presenting an impressively detailed engine bay we are informed that the original petrol engine bursts into life at the turn of the key. Our 80" Land Rover is offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and V5C registration document and offers a truly driveable investment.
