This beautiful 2002 Ferrari 575M Maranello is a desirably optioned and rare example—one of just 246 equipped with the gated 6-speed manual transmission at just 11 percent of total production—and has only 18,400 original miles. This particular 575M Maranello is best described as being the spiritual successor to the legendary Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona. The Maranello series of Ferrari cars were produced after a 23-year hiatus from the front-engine/rear-drive layout of the Daytona. The Daytona was known for its visceral personality, it was uncompromisingly fast but required driver mastery of its stiff clutch, heavy steering and manual gearbox.
Like the Daytona, this 575M Maranello is infused with an immense dosage of Ferrari testosterone, including its 515-horsepower V-12 engine capable of a top speed of 202 MPH, coupled to its time-honored 6-speed gated-shift manual transmission. This car sports the Fiorano Handling Package, which includes Brembo Pagid brake pads, special front and rear springs and shocks, a 21mm rear sway bar, a modified power-steering ECU and special suspension-alignment specifications.
