Named for the Spanish fighting bull who fought to a draw with famed matador Rafael Molina in October 1879, the Lamborghini Murciélago embodies that fighting spirit in the unmistakable style of the Sant’Agata Bolognese supercar works. With its forward-cabin architecture, scissor-style doors and high rear deck, the Murciélago exudes hyper performance and exclusivity from every surface, an image ably supported by its longitudinally midmounted 6.2L/600 HP V-12 engine, 6-speed E-gear automatic transmission and advanced all-wheel drive system.
A striking example of Lamborghini’s third-generation supercar, this 2006 Murciélago Berlinetta presents in sinister Nero Aldebaran paint, in this case protected with PPF on the front, lower sides and door sills. At rest, the car’s upward-opening doors, integrated Bi-Xenon headlights and green-painted brake calipers behind staggered-width wheels provide the visual excitement, but as speeds pick up and the Murciélago reaches into its vast potential, it’s the sight of body-side motorized “Batwing” air intakes and the automatically deploying rear wing, combined with the high-pitched whine of the Capristo exhaust, that grab one’s attention.
The black interior also typifies the Lamborghini driving experience, offering form-fitting lightweight bucket seats, beautifully crafted leather upholstery with carbon fiber accents and trim, automatic climate control, premium sound and full instrumentation.
