Fifteen years after its debut, the Lamborghini Murcielago remains sharp and exciting. Its wind-penetrating leading edges flow back over a nose defined by geometric shapes to enormous but perfectly sculpted rear fenders necessitated by the car’s 335-series Pirelli P-Zero tires. Its batwing rear intakes and upward-opening doors are trademark Lamborghini features that reach back into the mists of time to the original Countach.
Even more of that characteristic visual drama is found in this 2010 Murcielago SV (Sport Veloce): the front splitter protruding like insect mandibles, lower side scoops reaching out to double the air flow to the rear ancillaries; a two-tier rear diffuser and optional Aeropack rear wing working in concert to keep the rear tires planted at the SV’s estimated 209 MPH top speed. Finished in Nero Alderbaran over a Nero Super Veloce interior with Yellow stitching, this menacing 2010 SV is number 300 of 350 built and one of 42 for the U.S. market, but it’s more than just the numbers that make it so exclusive; it’s also the full complement of optional extras.
