Carte grise française de collection French hitsoric registration title Châssis n° VF32031292105 “La plus rare des 203 “ “The rarest of the 203s” - La Peugeot 203 est une voiture populaire, très moderne pour son époque, qui fut déclinée en plusieurs versions. Du plateau à ridelles utilitaire au très élégant cabriolet on pourra observer la présence éphémère dans la gamme d’une version Coupé 2-portes. - La voiture ici présentée fut mise en circulation en février 1953 et porte le numéro de carrosserie 315, sur 953 exemplaires fabriqués.

Rappelons que le coupé 203, qui prend comme base le cabriolet, est le plus rare de la gamme ; le club officiel du modèle n’en recense à ce jour seulement qu'une centaine survivants. - Cette rare Peugeot 203 n’a jamais véritablement connue de restauration, elle a été entretenue au fil du temps afin de pouvoir rouler dans de bonnes conditions, il faut noter que la sellerie est d’origine, témoignant ainsi que la voiture fut relativement peu utilisée et bien conservée. - La voiture fut repeinte il y a plusieurs années en gris métallisé au lieu d’un gris un peu plus foncé visible dans le compartiment moteur (référence gris 456) comme en atteste la fiche de production de l’auto.

L’amateur pourra s’atteler à repeindre la voiture dans sa configuration d’origine et lui donner son lustre d'antan. - Aujourd’hui ce rare petit coupé à la ligne intemporelle est dans un très bon état mécanique et est issu d’une collection privée de belle Peugeot ; il a été bien entretenu par un amateur éclairé. La 203 est prête pour la balade, et c’est une occasion rare sur le marché !
