To mark the 70th anniversary of design house and long-time Ferrari collaborator, Pininfarina, a run of 448 examples of the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina was commissioned. The car offered here is the 152nd of that series, and factory records show a 15 June 2001 production date. Finished in Grigio Alloy, which is complemented a Bordeaux Connolly leather interior trimmed with Alcantara to make for a stunning overall configuration, this example was delivered the following month via official Ferrari dealer Sa.Mo.Car. of Rome, Italy.
The 550 Barchetta Pininfarina would later spend time in Spain (where it was temporarily reported stolen but is now marked as clear—details on file), receiving a service in May 2015 at Maranello Rosso of Madrid, at which point the odometer was recorded at 9,563 kilometres. That figure had only marginally increased to 9,912 kilometres come December 2022, when the car was serviced and the 4,474-cc V-12 engine treated to a belt change by Scuderia Gladbeck of Germany.
Accompanied by a Ferrari car cover and convertible roof, this 550 Barchetta Pininfarina displays 9,972 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
Zur Feier des 70. Geburtstags des Designhauses und langjährigen Ferrari Partners Pininfarina wurde eine Serie von 448 Einheiten des 550 Barchetta Pininfarina aufgelegt. Das hier angebotene Fahrzeug ist Nummer 152 aus dieser Produktion, das den Werksunterlagen zufolge am 15. Juni 2001 produziert wurde. Die Farbkombination von Lack im Farbton Grigio Alloy mit einem Innenraum in bordeaux-rotem Leder und Alcantara ist atemberaubend. Im Juli 2001 wurde dieser 550 über den Ferrari Händler Sa.Mo.Car in Rome ausgeliefert.
Der 550 Barchetta verbrachte später Zeit in Spanien (wo er kurzfristig als gestohlen gemeldet war). Im Mai 2015 ist ein Service bei Maranello Rosso in Madrid bei einem km-Stand von 9.563 km verzeichnet. Die Laufleistung stieg bis in den Dezember 2022 nur geringfügig auf 9.912 km an, als der Wagen einen weiteren Service erhielt und der 4.474 cm³-V12 bei Scuderia Gladbeck neue Riemen erhielt.
