- BUILT ON R TYPE MK VI
- RESTORED IN 2014 FOR AN ITALIAN ROAD TRIP
This 1951 Bentley Special was one of 31 built by Geoffrey Shrive on a Mk. VI R-Type and uses a 4.25 litre Bentley engine. It is listed on page 281 of the book ‘The Crewe Cars’. In 2014 the vendor commissioned a restoration of this Shrive special for a road trip from the U.K to Lake Como. The vendor describes this Bentley as having the combination of effortless power and style. This four door tourer was built in the style of an early W.O Bentley and presents well in green. Presented to auction with a V5C registration document, this MoT test exempt Bentley special is a magnificent vehicle to drive.
