Once Ferrari had revealed its Monza SP1 and SP2 models and McLaren launched the Elva, Aston Martin entered the limited-edition, open-top fray with its V12 Speedster. In essence, engineers from the “Q by Aston Martin” branch had taken the marque’s smallest and lightest platform in the shape of the Vantage and fitted it with their most potent twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V-12 lifted from the DBS Superleggera flagship. Unsurprisingly, the 700 PS driving experience garnered rave reviews from the motoring press. Complete with custom bodywork and interior, only 88 examples of the V12 Speedster were constructed.
A major inspiration for the model was the hallowed DBR1. Shared by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori, the 3-litre sportscar triumphed in the 1959 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to give Aston Martin what remains its sole outright victory in the event. This specific car, the 61st example of the V12 Speedster, leans into that heritage even more, courtesy of its colour scheme. The Aston Martin Racing Green exterior is capped with Clubsport white roundels to complement an interior that combines Conker saddle leather with Virdian Green textile and Caithness leather accents. Little wonder that each V12 Speedster spent more than 50 hours at the manufacturer’s paint facility.
An accompanying Certificate of Conformity issued by Aston Martin shows that the car was manufactured on 3 December 2021, while the Aston Martin Luxembourg purchase invoice notes that it was later delivered new in October 2023. It has remained with the same France-based family throughout and shows only 46 kilometres on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. The V12 Speedster is accompanied by its books and a pair of matching Aston Martin Racing Green helmets.
An extremely rare model presented in a heritage colour scheme, this V12 Speedster would be a statement addition to any collection and will surely always be a serious contender at any concours gathering.
Nach Ferrari mit den Modellen Monza SP1 und SP2 und McLaren mit dem Elva gesellte sich Aston Martin mit dem V12 Speedster auch zu den Herstellern offener Sondermodelle. Ingenieure der „Q by Aston Martin“ Division hatten sich mit dem Vantage die kleinste und leichteste Plattform der Marke vorgenommen und mit ihrem stärksten 5,2-Liter Bitubro-V12 aus dem Flaggschiff Superleggera kombiniert. Da überrascht es nicht, dass die Fachpresse sich über das Fahrerlebnis mit 700 PS begeistert ausließ. Der mit spezieller Karosserie und einzigartigem Interieur versehene V12 Speedster wurde nur 88-mal produziert.

Dem Konformitätszertifikat von Aston Martin lässt sich entnehmen, dass der Wagen am 3. Dezember 2021 hergestellt wurde, während die Rechnung von Aston Martin Luxemburg einen Verkauf erst im Oktober 2023 belegt. Seitdem blieb der Wagen im Besitz derselben Familie in Frankreich, und wies zum Zeitpunkt der Drucklegung nur 46 Kilometer auf dem Tacho auf. Zum Fahrzeug gehören die Bordbücher und zwei Helme in Aston Martin Racing Green.
