One of the most exciting, and exclusive, members of the Aston Martin Vantage family is the V12 Speedster, only 88 examples of which were built, and only 12 examples believed to exist in right hand drive. This then, is the ultimate unicorn begging to be taken out to the next hypercar meet in a symphony of V12, and enjoying a motoring thrill few will ever experience.
The Speedster is said to have been inspired by the DBR1 sports-racer that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans outright for Aston Martin in 1959. The Speedster also builds on the design language of the CC100 concept car unveiled to the public at the 2013 Nürburgring 24 Hours.
Aston Martin's own 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 was chosen to power the Speedster. This formidable power plant produces 690bhp and 555lb/ft of torque, which reaches the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed transmission. The aluminium chassis with special front-end elements, shared with the DBS Superleggera, accommodates the bulkier and powerful V12. Notable features include 21" forged alloy wheels; carbon ceramic brakes; adaptive suspension dampers; two behind-the-seats pods for helmets; and a removable leather bag where the glovebox would normally be. Claimed performance figures were 3.5 seconds for the 0-62mph dash and a (limited) top speed of 186mph (300km/h) all to be enjoyed with 6000 miles of headroom.
Finished in the extra-cost option 1950s Racing Green livery, this ultra-rare and highly desirable limited-edition Aston Martin has had two lucky previous owners. Infrequently driven and mainly used as a show car, the vendor has enjoyed the car as a piece of kinetic sculpture at his garage. It has covered a mere 325 miles from new and is presented in effectively 'as new' condition. The Speedster has had two services with Aston Martin agents: November 2022 at 302 miles and January 2024 at 325 miles. The car is offered with a V5C document and comes complete with car cover and battery charger. It also benefits from a complete paintwork protected package.

The next owner is invited to put on one of the exclusive V12 Speedster helmets, sit in its wonderfully ergonomic cockpit, and experience a magical cross between an RAF Typhoon fighter pilot on full afterburner and Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby at Le Mans in 1959.
