  • French registration document
  • Chassis no. VF320CM2201438946
  • Recent restoration
  • Highly sought-after version of the legendary 205
  • Engine full of character
  • No reserve

The Sochaux-based brand made a big splash with the launch of the 205, and its sporting variants enjoyed great success, like the GTI with its fuel-injection system. The 205 Rallye is considered the version “for purists,” meeting their expectations with its 1,300 cc engine and twin twin-choke Weber carburettors. Stripped of comfort features, the Rallye was lighter than the GTI, and its 103 hp were enough to propel its 780 kg. The Rallye stands out for its agility, paired with a very enjoyable engine character. Delivered new on 23 June 1988, this 205 underwent a major restoration in 2022.

Mechanically, the carburettors were overhauled, and the crankshaft, connecting rods and bearings were replaced. The interior is beautifully presented, thanks to newly upholstered seats and new red carpets that add a sporty touch to the whole. The bodywork has been repainted and adorned with stickers specific to the Rallye livery. The 205 is a true French icon; in Rallye form, it embodies pure sportiness. This freshly restored example will deliver thrills behind the wheel, just like the drivers of the 1980s and 1990s.
