All major custom car show winners know that winning a top award means leaving no part of a car unmodified or finished to less than over-the-top quality. This extensively modified and customized 1941 Packard 110 Custom Convertible Coupe clearly meets all of those qualifications and much more. This multi-year high-end build began with a 1941 Packard, and from there it went above and beyond. Bright full-length side trim in the style of a 1940 Packard has been adapted to fit the later body, but paired with the beautiful gloss black finish on the body, this only marks the beginning of the quality of this outstanding car.

The rear has been smoothed with flush tail lights and fuel-filler door blended into the curves of the body. The power-actuated one-piece front end and hood is equipped with Frenched headlights and opens from the rear. The body has been channeled over the frame 4 inches and sectioned 3 inches. The top has been chopped 3 inches and the grille sectioned 8 inches. One of the most impressive features is the use of Lamborghini-type scissor doors. The chassis is supported by a custom four-bar suspension with coilovers in the rear mounting a strong Ford 9-inch rear axle. In the front, power steering and Fatman tubular A-arms handle the independent suspension.

Four-wheel power disc brakes all around make sure that stopping is never a problem. Vintique provided the custom polished wheels at all four corners with 18-inch in the front and 20-inch in the rear, providing a perfect stance. The engine is a Chevrolet Ramjet 502 CI V-8 with a Street and Performance serpentine-belt system running the accessories, and power is sent to the rear axle by way of a GM 700R4 automatic transmission. The interior is trimmed in saddle leather, incorporating Mercedes-Benz power seats with shoulder harnesses. Painless Wiring connects the Dakota digital gauge panel and controls for the Vintage Air conditioning.

A custom steering wheel finishes the modern appearance theme. The Packard has a reconstructed title and is ready for any high-end custom car show or even for just enjoying a Sunday drive.
