Delivered new on August 12, 1928 to the Packard-Rockford Motor Company, this 1928 Packard 526 coupe is not only designated as a full classic by the Classic car Club of America, it is also a National First Place Award winner. Driven just 300 miles since the completion of a frame-off restoration, it is finished in the same eye-catching combination of colors – Tan body, Green fenders and Red wheels and window surround – as that shown in the official Packard advertising literature of the time. The 526 designation denotes Packard's fifth model series and its 126-inch wheelbase.

By 1928, Packard had become the most popular luxury automobile in America and their slogan, "Ask the man who owns one" was known worldwide. Packard’s renowned 300 CI inline-6 engine received a boost to 81 horsepower for 1928, and the smooth-shifting manual transmission remained. This handsome and rare coupe features a rumble seat above its rear-mounted spare tire, forward-tilting windshield with motorized wiper, a Jaeger clock and storage for golf clubs with passenger-side access panel. Finally, the famous Packard grille is topped with a rare Boyce Moto-Meter.
