Post-facelift, sixth-generation, 4WD, single-cab, Hilux Pick-up in Pure White.
Introduced in 1997, the sixth generation of Hilux continued the model's reputation for reliability and durability. Major revisions came in 2001, with the introduction of the new 2.5-litre D-4D multi-valve engine, the first common-rail diesel powerplant to be used in a pick-up truck. Presented here in Pure White with smart 'steelies' wrapped in All Terrain tyres, these understated pickups are currently 'cool' This example was showing just 74,901 miles at the time of cataloguing, not much in the world of Toyotas. Being an EX 250 model, this is the single-cab 4WD variety, arguably the most desirable.
Over the last few years, possibly influenced by the US and OZ, medium-sized pick-ups have developed an amount of 'street-cred' and, like Land Rovers and old Volvo Estates, are classless and can be used anywhere, going to the tip or turning up at the best parties.
