This 2008 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider is powered by a DOHC 32-valve 4.3-liter V8 engine featuring Bosch ME-Motronic 7.1.1 fuel injection/engine management and sends power to the rear transaxle through a Magneti Marelli F1 paddle-shift gearbox, developing 483bhp and propelling the car to over 193 mph. This F430 heralded numerous functional aerodynamics by its designer Pininfarina, including the large air intakes at the front and sides, the redesigned tail and rear air diffuser, plus new upswept headlamps. A classic case of racing improving road cars, these changes improved the fuel efficiency of the F430 while reducing aerodynamic drag and lift.
A design and engineering tour de force, the F430 incorporated important new technical features, including the electronic differential (E-Diff) derived by the F1 team, plus the now-familiar steering wheel-mounted rotary switch, or "manettino," allowing quick changes among five possible driving modes. Finished in Rosso Corsa, this Ferrari's exterior options include $1,551 "Scuderia Ferrari" front-fender shields, plus $1,018 red-finished brake calipers and $1,749 ball-polished wheel rims.
The sporting interior includes $2,912 Daytona-style seats with $2,563 electric adjustment, $4,689 carbon fiber to the driving zone, $2,800 rear carbon-fiber accents, $748 upholstery piping to customer request, $2,181 leather rear shelf/door moldings and $494 special roll bar upholstery color. Other amenities include $2,042 front and rear parking sensors and a $2,064 high-power HiFi system with a subwoofer. The paint protection film (PPF) was installed in 2011 under previous ownership. Carrying a $264,413 MSRP when new, it is equipped with over $34,000 in factory options. This F430 was delivered new to Ferrari of Houston and acquired by the seller in July 2024.
