The 360 Modena was a clean-sheet design that anticipated trends for future road cars by Ferrari. It was the first production Prancing Horse to be constructed entirely in aluminium, with chassis, body shell, and suspension wishbones all made from the lightweight material. This allowed engineers to provide the best overall performance and handling ever achieved in a mid-engine Ferrari up to that point.
The chassis was designed by in-house engineers and built in collaboration with Alcoa. This partnership made for a structure that was 40 per cent stronger in structural rigidity while also achieving a 28 per cent weight reduction compared to the previous 355. The suspension mounting points are one-piece castings and the chassis was assembled on a CNC workstation, the same technique used for the F50.
With its attractive visual appearance crafted by Pininfarina, the 360 Modena is a result of a long-running partnership between Ferrari and the Turin-based design house, drawing from established results of the pairing such as the 365 GTB/4 Daytona and Dino 246 GT. The 360 Modena was also the first modern Ferrari to display the longitudinally mounted V-8 engine under a glass cover, a feature that continues to this day with models such as the SF90.
The example offered here left the Ferrari factory fitted with a six-speed manual transmission and was finished in Rosso Fiorano over a Beige and Castoro interior. First delivered via Walter Hasler AG of Basel, Switzerland, the 360 Modena is offered with its Ferrari manuals, including original factory Warranty Card, and maintenance books that list its service history conducted mostly at Swiss main dealers. Over the past two decades, the car returned to its original dealership for routine maintenance, with the most recent work conducted by Kessel of Zug in August 2025. At the time of cataloguing, the odometer read 36,235 kilometres. The car is further accompanied by its tool kit and tyre repair kit.
