The MK2 Golf GTI was a worthy successor to the MK1 GTI. Not only did it look good with its bold 80s styling, but it also retained the classic GTI features that were popular in the MK1, such as the red detailing and golf ball styled gear knob. The MK2 was also larger and thus more practical than its predecessor, but it also had improved performance and better handling. This 1986 example is a rare Pirelli edition model that is often distinguished by its unique Pirelli "P slot" alloy wheels. Cosmetically the car is in a good condition, and the inside also presents very well. There is little history with the car however it has been well looked after and is largely original.

It also has a relatively low mileage of 89,000 miles. Many Golf GTIs of this era have been extensively modified and have a much higher mileage, so an example such as this with good history, is becoming increasingly hard to come by.
