In 1963, Porsche introduced the successor to it first production car, the 4-cylinder 356, at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The brainchild of Ferdinand “Butzi” Porsche, the new 911 was a sleek and stylish, rear-engined sports car that featured a more powerful, 2.0L, air-cooled, flat-6 engine that afforded ample opportunity for various increased horsepower variants. Initially designated the Type 901, but later renamed the 911, the car would first go on sale to the public in 1964 and subsequently go through generation after generation of upgrades and improvements, leading to it becoming one of the longest continually produced sports cars in automotive history.

By 1967, the Porsche 911 had become segmented into a number of variants, including the entry-level 911T with 110 HP on tap, the 911L with 130 HP, and the 911S pumping out 160 HP, among others. But, for 1970 the automotive minds at Porsche stepped it up a bit further, with the 911 line receiving a larger 2.2L engine that raised the power output for the entry-level 911T up a full 15 HP to 125 HP. Documented with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this 1970 Porsche 911T is beautifully finished in silver paint with a black interior.

Equipped with the larger 2.2L flat 6-ylinder engine with dual downdrafts carburetors and a 5-speed manual transmission, this highly collectable 911 also features rare air conditioning, as well as five-spoke Fuchs wheels and tinted glass. The Porsche is also accompanied by an owner’s manual and service records.
