, this second-generation GTO was specially adapted by filmmakers as a dark and menacing vehicle for the story’s gun-slinging protagonist, Frank Castle, played by Thomas Jane.
This GTO was one of five cars used in filming, which primarily took place in Tampa, Florida. Alongside selected other cars sourced for the film, it was acquired from a GTO-specialist restoration workshop in Orlando. The Pontiac was given a matte black finish and decorated with film set details including bullet holes and exterior armour that includes reinforced glass. The car features distinct “Punisher” decals and script around its exterior, while the interior was customised with an all-aluminium fitment and a unique dashboard. Please note, after being customised for its part in film production, this car differs from its original specification and bidders should seek advice should they intend to register the car for the road.

Dieser GTO ist eines von insgesamt fünf für die Filmaufnahmen im floridianischen Tampa hergerichteten Fahrzeugen. Neben einigen anderen ausgewählten Autos für den Film wurde dieses Coupé von einem GTO-Spezialisten in Orlando erworben. Der Wagen wurde Mattschwarz lackiert und mit notwendigen Details wie Einschusslöchern und verstärktem Glas versehen. Rund um das Fahrzeug sind spezielle Punisher Aufkleber und Schriftzüge angebracht. Der Innenraum wurde mit komplett aus Aluminium gefertigten Anbauten und einem neuen Armaturenbrett versehen. Interessierte Bieter sollten beachten, dass dieser Wagen für den Einsatz im Film modifiziert worden ist, und dass sie vor einem eventuellen Einsatz im Straßenverkehr eine Auskunft der jeweiligen Zulassungsbehörden einholen sollten.
