Chassis No.: TC9459

£14,063 | Sold

  • Transmission: Manual
  • Body Colour: Sequoia Cream

Superbly presented, this restored MG TC, has been subject to substantial recent expenditure in current ownership and is offered without reserve.

Built in 1949, little is known of the early years of this MG TC but it's believed to have been restored in the 1990s and has been extremely well preserved in private Collections since. Purchased in 2020 by our vendor from its previous owner of c.20 years, the vehicle been refreshed, with a number of marque recognised improvements detailed in the condition report. Powered by the venerable XPAG 1,250cc producing 54bhp at 5,200rpm with a 4-speed gearbox with synchromesh on second, third and top. Finished in Sequoia Cream with matching cream hood over a red leather interior, it sits on silver wire wheels.

Correct interior with a Walnut dashboard, original Bakelite switches, Jaeger instruments and a Bluemells sprung wheel. No paperwork prior to our vendor's purchase, however invoices during his tenure amount to over £6,000. Several workshop manuals and magazines. The logbook, T-Series Register and brass identity plate all state the chassis number is #TC9549, although #TC1502 is stamped on the vehicle. Quintessentially English, this well restored MG TC represents the best of immediate post-war light sportscars and still catches the eye today with viewing highly recommended.
