The Maserati Khamsin, elegantly designed by Marcello Gandini, is one of the classic Maserati GTs engineered by Giulio Alfieri. It is equipped with a four-camshaft V8 indirectly derived from the formidable 450 S racing cars. Here it is in its 4.9-litre, 320 hp version, giving the car impressive performance. With 435 examples produced between 1974 and 1982, the Khamsin is a rare car, especially among those sold in France. This Maserati Khamsin, one of 33 sold new in France, has had only three particularly careful owners since 1975.

The first kept it until 1978, and the second, a doctor from Besançon, took great care of it until 1989. The third, also a doctor and a great enthusiast of the Trident marque, then added it to his collection, which included other Maseratis. It has therefore been in his hands for 27 years. The car was maintained by Athanée-Forza until the 2000s, and then by Gilbert Tissier (Supersport), who carried out a major mechanical restoration in 2012.

At the time, the car had covered 61,000 km, and the work involved several vital components: the engine, completely rebuilt; the cooling system; clutch; hydraulic system; ignition; carburetion; brakes; tyres; and exhaust (fitting of a stainless-steel component). The air conditioning was also overhauled, bringing the total cost of the work to €50,000. Since this restoration, the car has been maintained by the excellent Jean-Michel Gallet of SM2A, who has carried out the servicing required to keep it running properly, including replacing hoses and fluids and servicing the brakes. It has covered only 1,500 km since then and now shows just 62,500 km.

Finished in black with a black interior, this Maserati Khamsin is presented in very fine condition, with original upholstery that has retained its suppleness and splendour, and paintwork in excellent condition. It is a superb example of a Maserati whose elegant, still very contemporary lines are matched by high performance. French title Chassis # AM 120 146 - Only three owners since new - Mechanical repairs by Gilbert Tissier - 62,500 km from new - Original engine The Maserati Khamsin, elegantly designed by Marcello Gandini, is a classic GT Maserati engineered by Giulio Alfieri. The Khamsin featured a DOHC V8 which had its antecedents in the formidable racing 450 S.

This car's engine is the 320bhp 4.9 liter version, which allows the car to deliver high performances. With 435 units produced between 1974 and 1982, the Khamsin is a rare car, especially when it comes to cars sold in France. This Maserati Khamsin, one of 33 sold new in France, has only known three very careful owners since 1975. The first owner kept it until 1978 and the second one, a doctor from Besancon, took great care of it until 1989. The third owner, also a doctor and enthusiast of the Trident brand added it to his collection of Maseratis 27 years ago.

The car was maintained until the 2000s by Athanée-Forza, and then by Gilbert Tissier (Supersport), who executed a major mechanical restoration in 2012 when the car showed 61 000 km on the odometer. The work involved several vital organs: the engine, which was completely redone, the cooling system, the clutch, the hydraulic system, the ignition, the carburetor, the brakes, the tires, and the exhaust system (installation of a stainless steel element). The air conditioning was also serviced, with all the work totaling €50 000.

Since this restoration, the car has been maintained by the excellent Jean-Michel Gallet, SM2A, who has carried out the necessary works to ensure that the car runs smoothly: changing hoses and fluids, brakes.... Since then, it has only been driven 1,500 km and now displays only 62,500 km. In a black shade with black interior, it is in very nice condition, with original upholstery that has kept its flexibility and splendor and a tight pain job. This is a superb Maserati whose elegant and very contemporary design is combined with high level of performance.
