The 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition celebrated the company’s defiant rise from the ashes of its 1978 bankruptcy and subsequent purchase by the resurgent Chrysler Corporation in 1987. The occasion inspired Lamborghini engineers to execute a host of improvements to the Countach that included a new front air dam, redesigned engine and cooling intakes and new lower body work integrated with the fender flares and blended with a redesigned rear bumper. While the driveline remained unchanged, the Countach received new O.Z. modular alloy wheels and new Pirelli Zero Asymmetrical tires in place of the old P7s.
Lamborghini’s fantastic fuel-injected 5.1L/455 HP V-12 engine powered the 25th Anniversary Edition Countach, which was the most popular, most refined, and likely the fastest Countach of all, with a 0-6 time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed surpassing 180 MPH. Finished in bright Bianco White with a Bone leather interior, this stunning 25th Anniversary Countach is one of only 658 produced worldwide and one of just 187 built for the North American market. An extensive engine-out service was just performed earlier in 2015 by George Evans Service of Ohio at a cost of over $85,000.
This comprehensive service included a complete engine rebuild, new clutch and service maintenance to the transmission, air conditioning, electrical system and more. Well sorted and properly maintained, the car has been driven just 200 miles since this work was completed. It looks as new and is offered with documentation of both its recent servicing and its overall service history.
