Introduced at 1984 at the Paris Motor show, the Pininifarina-designed Ferrari Testarossa brought the modern wedge shape and highly thought out aerodynamic to the supercar realm, and became an icon in the process. The factory White on White example seen here is from the first full year of Testarossa production, one of just 568 produced in total. It was delivered new in Germany (Ferrari only imported just over 100 to North America in 1985) and was imported to the US in 1998 with what is believed to have been its second owner. As such, it has the higher-spec 385 HP version of the 4943cc flat-12 engine, thanks to looser European emissions regulations.
The car has lived with its third owner in the Seattle area since 2005, residing in a large collection with other Boxer Ferraris and selected European and Italian sports car icons. This Testarossa remains almost totally factory stock, with the notable exceptions of a British market right side mirror added (the asymmetrical look of one side mirror was part of Pininfarina’s original design, but proved impractical in reality) and the audio system is updated with an Alpine head unit and a 6 CD changer in the trunk.
Included with the car are the complete original owner’s manuals in their original folio, the Service booklet with its delivery stamp and early servicing stamps, the tool roll, which includes the jack, lug wrench and hammer, plus a clean CarFax report that shows no history of accidents nor mileage discrepancies.
