Ferrari commissioned just 33 ‘World Speed Record’ editions of its revered 550 Maranello to mark the model posting a host of production car average speed records. Special equipment for these selected few included the Fiorano handling pack, a sports exhaust, enamel Scuderia badges for the front wings, Corsa brake callipers, carbon bucket seats featuring Daytona stitching, race-style harnesses, a roll cage trimmed in leather, and a suede steering wheel.
One of just 23 configured in left-hand drive, this example was delivered to Italy before being registered in Germany. While most were specified in Grigio Titanio over Bordeaux interiors, this WSR notably wears Rosso Corsa paintwork over black hide. Imported into the United Kingdom circa 2015 and now offered by a prominent car collector in Germany, this lesser-known 550 Maranello model displayed 40,926 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. It is accompanied by its books in their folio and a tool kit.
