$8,800 USD | Sold

This 1968 Sunbeam Alpine represents the final year of production and is considered the most powerful and refined of the Alpine series built from 1959 through 1968. It is powered by a 1,725cc 4-cylinder engine with five main bearings, equipped with twin Zenith Stromberg semi-downdraught carburetors and paired with a synchronized manual transmission. The Alpine was well-regarded in European and North American motorsports, highlighted by a Sunbeam Harrington winning the Thermal Index of Efficiency at Le Mans in 1961, and it also saw success in SCCA events across the United States.

This last-year example is a solid Arizona car that has been enjoyed over the years with restoration work performed as needed. Recent maintenance includes rebuilt front disc brakes, new rear wheel cylinders and a fresh tuneup.
