Rolls-Royce carried on after its Merlin engines helped win the war, and this 1953 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn Saloon drives into the present day as an unrestored ambassador of the storied marque from its Spirit of Ecstasy hood mascot to chrome bumper guards. Propelled by a famously silent and powerful 4.6L inline 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed automatic transmission, the 120-inch wheelbase Silver Dawn is one of approximately 780 produced during the 1949to 1955 model run. The factory-built four-door saloon body is finished in single-tone Shell Grey paint. Elegant luxury continues in the cabin outfitted in red furniture hide-leather upholstery with handcrafted burl-wood trim and dash.
Smiths instrumentation works with fog lamps to keep an eye on the road ahead. The Silver Dawn rolls on 16-inch steel wheels and wide whitewall tires dressed in color-keyed full wheel covers. A factory-issued tool kit and owner's manual are included.
