Since its 2010 introduction, the GT2 RS moniker has come to signify the most extreme roadgoing interpretation of the iconic Porsche 911.
The 991-generation GT2 RS launched in 2017 was the most powerful model in the history of the Porsche 911. Its 3.8-liter flat-six engine fed by two turbochargers sends 700 horsepower to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK gearbox. With its astonishing acceleration—sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds—and top speed of 211 mph, Porsche test driver Lars Kern set the production-car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife on 20 September 2017 in a GT2 RS.
