Finished in Calypso Red with Biscuit interior, these turbocharged Esprit SEs were rated at 264hp with 280hp available on over boost, good for a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds. Rare air indeed, especially considering only the Lamborghini Diablo outperformed the Lotus. The Ferrari 348, Porsche 911 turbo and Corvette ZR1 all fell short of the Lotus performance. The styling on the Esprit, especially these Peter Stevens designed examples, has become one of the most iconic of the era.
