غادرت سيارة الإطفاء Land Rover هذه المصنع في أوائل عام 1955. ثم يُحتمل أنها خدمت في سلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني حتى بيعها وتسجيلها للاستخدام المدني في يناير 1982. وبعد ذلك عملت Land Rover لسنوات عديدة كسيارة إطفاء وكاسحة ثلوج في ديوزبري، غرب يوركشاير. ثم عُرضت في المتحف الوطني لتعدين الفحم قبل بيعها إلى ملكية خاصة عام 2004.

اشترى Peter Stevens سيارة Land Rover من موقع مزادات عبر الإنترنت عام 2008. وقدّم البائع وصفًا مطولًا لتاريخ السيارة ومواصفاتها وحالتها (تتوفر نسخة مطبوعة في الملف)، ويُنصح المشترون المحتملون بقراءته. وذُكر آنذاك وجود 25 صفحة من سجلات الصيانة والفواتير وأوراق العمل، تتيح نظرة ثرية إلى تاريخ السيارة.

منذ أن اشتراها الراحل Peter Stevens، استفادت Land Rover من ترميم شامل أجرته Bodyline في تشيتشستر، ويُعتقد أنه نُفذ بعد فترة وجيزة من اقتنائها.
