Finished in Rosso Corsa over Beige Connolly leather and specified with the Fiorano handling pack, carbon bucket seats, four-point racing-style harnesses, plus a leather-trimmed roll cage: to all intents and purposes the Ferrari 550 Maranello offered here is a ‘World Speed Record’ edition made to celebrate the model setting a string of production car average speed records.
However, the prized Swedish client that ordered this 550 Maranello was rather disappointed to miss out on one of the original 33 WSRs commissioned. As such, Ferrari swiftly pushed through this extra example. Please note, it does not feature a WSR commemorative plaque in the interior. The factory build record even states: “VERY URGENT CAR !!!!!!”. It was ultimately delivered new via Autoropa of Testvägen on 7 July 2000. Sweden’s sole licenced Ferrari importer continued to service the car through to March 2004, at which time it was logged with 38,002 kilometres.
Subsequently acquired by the consigning owner in Finland, this fascinating 550 Maranello benefits from a most recent service in July 2024. Accompanied by its owner’s guides and Warranty Card, the car displayed 62,224 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
De couleur Rosso Corsa avec sellerie en cuir Connolly beige et équipée du pack Fiorano, de sièges baquets en carbone, d'un harnais quatre points compétition et d'un arceau-cage habillé de cuir, la Ferrari 550 Maranello que nous proposons ici est en tout état de cause une édition "World Speed Record" fabriquée pour rendre hommage au modèle ayant établi une série de records de vitesse pour voitures de série.
Cependant, le précieux client suédois ayant passé commande d'une 550 Maranello a été particulièrement déçu de manquer un des 33 exemplaires initialement produits. Par conséquent, Ferrari a mis sans tarder en production un exemplaire supplémentaire. Veuillez noter qu'il ne comporte pas de plaque commémorative WSR à l'intérieur. Le document de fabrication usine mentionne même : "VOITURE TRÈS URGENTE !!!!!" Elle a été finalement livrée neuve le 7 juillet 2000 via Autoropa, de Testvägen. Unique importateur Ferrari officiel en Suède, cet établissement a ensuite continué à entretenir la voiture jusqu'à mars 2004, date à laquelle elle avait totalisé 38 002 km.
Acquise ensuite par son actuel propriétaire en Finlande, cette fascinante 550 Maranello a bénéficié récemment d'une révision, en juillet 2024. Accompagnée de ses manuels d'utilisation et de son carnet de garantie, cette voiture affichait 62 224 km au moment de préparer ce catalogue.
