Produced from 1954-57, the Jaguar XK140 was the successor to the legendary XK120. Although they shared nearly identical design and engineering, the XK140 evolved the breed with advanced rack-and-pinion steering, larger brakes and telescopic shock absorbers that helped provide vastly improved road handling and suspension dynamics. The cabin interior was increased in size by moving the engine, firewall and dashboard 3 inches forward, making it roomier for the occupants.
