The production V-12 Vanquish, closely resembled the Project Vantage, and was shown to the press and potential customers in October 2000 and then the public at the Geneva Salon in March 2001. Production started very soon afterwards at the revitalized Newport Pagnell factory and deliveries to customers launched in the Summer of 2001. Last of the handmade Aston Martins; it has the wide body and aggressive stance that fans of the marque absolutely love.

The V-12 Vanquish has been very much in the public eye ever since James Bond was reunited with an Aston Martin. A much modified V-12 Vanquish was the star in ‘Die Another Day’ released during November 2002 to huge acclaim.

Part of the Grand Tourer class; the Aston Martin Vanquish is a beautifully executed fastback coupe that is eye-catching, fast and elegant. The factory declared that the 5.9-liter, 460-hp V-12 engine would propel the car to 190-mph. The gearbox is an F1-style six-speed semi-automatic that encourages precise shifts and is simply fun to use as you push the accelerator to these impressive speeds. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes provide the stopping power.

Finished in red with black interior; it is reported that the Vanquish has experienced one repaint and has recently received a complete $8,900 service that included all fluids, new battery and more. Richly appointed; among the equipment you will find an upgraded Lin sound system with Bluetooth, air conditioning, white-faced analog instrumentation, chromed stock alloy wheels; power steering, mirrors, heated seats, door locks, mirrors and windows. The approximate 27,000 miles on the odometer are reported by the owner to be original. This great example is said to be “ready to drive anywhere.”

With only 2,589 production cars ever built, you can be assured you won’t see similar cars in most travels. Of this total figure, 1,503 were the standard Vanquish (like this car), while 1,086 Vanquish S models were built.
