After positive reaction to the Rapide concept at the 2006 New York Auto Show and demand subsequently borne out by the Porsche Panamera, the Aston Martin Rapide S made its debut in 2010 with a modern yet classic combination of four-door hand-built ultra-luxury and V-12 grand-touring high performance. This 2014 Aston Martin Rapide S wears Morning Frost White over its aluminum-and-composite body that houses four Bridge of Weir leather sport seats in the Obsidian Black leather interior. The single-owner Rapide S recently underwent a Factory Authorized Service Center inspection at Park Place Aston Martin and displays just 19,389 miles on the odometer.
Four-place grand-touring performance expectations are upheld by the 552 HP naturally-aspirated V-12 engine under the long-and-low hood. The inherently smooth powerplant is backed up by a Touchtronic 2 6-Speed automatic transmission with driver-selectable modes that channels power through the mechanical limited-slip differential and rear wheels via steering-wheel-mounted sequential-shift controls. Double-wishbone front and rear automatic sport-tuned adaptive suspension with Bilstein dampers and anti-roll bars works with 4-Wheel ABS disc brakes and Electronic Stability Control for road handling and safety expected from a contemporary Aston Martin.
