- Extremely rare Sinpar 4x4 version
- 12,565 km from new
- Superb condition
- No reserve
With only 12,565 km from new and having been owned by careful Italian owners throughout its 40 years, it is only logical that this car should be in remarkable condition. It is rare, as it is a Sinpar 4x4 version of the famous Renault 4. The Société Industrielle de Production et d'Adaptation Rhodanienne, founded in 1946, specialised in producing four-wheel-drive systems for commercial vehicles and equipped several French makes. As early as 1962, a four-wheel-drive Renault 4 was presented at the Paris Motor Show, with the approval of the Régie.
The conversion involved a power take-off at the front of the gearbox, connected to a three-piece propeller shaft that drove an alloy rear differential, which was linked to two shafts driving the rear wheels. A lever on the dashboard engaged this transmission. This system enabled the Renault 4, already very capable off road, to venture onto difficult or mountainous terrain, especially in this GTL version with its more substantial 1,108 cc engine. In excellent condition, this car is equipped with a sunroof and was delivered new in Italy. It comes with ASI certification and its period Sinpar homologation plate from 1980.
A wonderful opportunity to acquire one of the most beloved French popular cars in one of its rarest versions. ADDENDUM: PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAR IS SOLD WITHOUT A TECHNICAL INSPECTION.
