This stunning 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 has been driven only 29,000 original miles. The GT3 ethos has always been to be a thinly veiled race car with just enough obligatory equipment to make it street legal. For Porsche connoisseurs, there is no more pure driving experience than piloting a GT3. This 2010 Porsche GT3—with the internal designation of 997.2—occupies a sweet spot in the lineage of this specific model. It is substantially improved over its predecessor, the 997.1, and is considered by many to be more desirable than its successor 991 GT3. When Porsche introduced the 2010 997.2 GT3, it had an improved engine with a displacement increase from 3.6 to 3.8 liters.
This enabled excellent performance with a top speed of 193 MPH and a 0-60 MPH acceleration time of less than 4 seconds. It also came standard with a mandatory 6-speed manual transmission—sourced directly from the Porsche motorsports division. When the successor 991 GT3 was introduced, it was equipped exclusively with a PDK automatic transmission. Hence, the 2010 911 GT3 is highly coveted for its evolved drivetrain that still retained the 6-speed manual transmission. The visual impact of the GT3 is undeniably motorsports focused. The car sits 1.2 inches lower than a standard 911 and has ultra-wide tires mounted on 12×19-inch rear wheels and 8.5×19-inch front wheels.
The ceramic-composite brake rotors and yellow calipers are visible behind the center-lock racing wheels. The large wing mounted on the rear decklid has prominent 3.8 call-outs, and the rear end has multiple air-extraction vents, while the front fascia has multiple air intakes and a front air splitter. This 911 GT3 presents beautifully in Carrera White with a black interior and comes equipped with the Sport Chrono Package, Navigation and Sound Package Plus.
