The 2011 911 GT3 RS Coupe is an awesome high performance version of the 911. It was built for homologation with the sole intent of going racing in the FIA sanctioned GT3 racing class after which it was named. The GT3 has enjoyed a very successful racing career since its conception in 1999 and has several class wins at Le Mans, Sebring, Daytona and the Nurburgring 24 hour races as well as seven Championships in the American Le Mans series. There were two generations of the Porsche GT3 RS in 2011 and this car is the second generation of that model year.
The second generation of the GT3 received minor modifications to the front and rear lights as well as some minor body sculpting and a slightly raised rear spoiler. The biggest addition to the GT3 was the 3.8 liter flat-6 engine option offered halfway through the model year. The engine output was raised by 35 horsepower and now put out a very respectable 444 ponies. This car has only had one owner and is one of approximately 1,600 second generation GT3s built. The aggressive stance of the car is emphasized in the exterior graphics. Cloaked in Carrera White, it has been finished with Guards Red graphics and GT3 RS badging.
The interior is wrapped in Black leather with Black suede seat inserts and steering wheel and the interior is accented with Red safety belts. Run through its paces by a 6-speed manual transmission, the 3.8L flat-6 engine puts its power to the ground through Michelin tires wrapped around Carrera Red RS wheels. This GT3 RS has been driven only 9,323 miles and is ready to tackle both road and track.
