The Manta B GT/E Exclusive was the range topping version of Opel’s rear-wheel drive sporting coupé developed as a rival to the Ford Capri. Finished in its original Glacier White following a full bare metal respray and features the distinctive Exclusive specification: quad headlamps, Irmscher-style front and rear spoilers, side-skirts, five-spoke alloys, sunroof and red-piped Recaro seats with an Irmscher steering wheel. Powered by 2.0-litre CIH fuel-injected, inline-four producing around 108bhp, coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The car has been subject to a full detailed restoration, with the whole vehicle inspected and components renewed throughout including gaskets, bushes and suspension parts, the latter powder-coated, with fasteners replaced or refinished as required. Accompanied by its original wallet and handbook, a selection of invoices and USB photographic evidence of the restoration. Awarded a Top 10 placing at the VBOA meeting by the Opel Manta Owners Club, with trophy retained.
