A Florida example offered from the Don Wallace Collection of Tampa, this 2010 Nissan GTR is one of the most advanced and sophisticated sports cars on the road. Its 3.8L all-aluminum V-6 engine is an engineering wonder employing twin exhaust-manifold-integrated turbochargers and computer-controlled direct fuel injection to produce 485 HP at 6,400 RPM and 434 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 RPM with practically zero turbo lag. The example presented here exceeds even those figures after the onboard computer was reflashed to produce even more power, and it can be run on E85 fuel.

Nissan calls the GTR’s all-wheel drive system ATTESA E-TS, shorthand for Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split. Essentially a system for apportioning torque to the most effective corner in any dynamic situation, it performs seamlessly in concert with the upgraded Jacks Transmissions heavy-duty 800 series automatic road racing transmission now occupying the factory unit’s place in the GTR’s advanced drive system, which also benefits from ABS and driveline traction control.

Formally dressed in all black, inside and out, the GTR’s athletic contours and aggressive race-car styling are complemented by Toyo Proxes R888 performance rubber on 20-inch forged aluminum 7-spoke wheels, oversized stainless-steel exhaust with quad tailpipes, and ring-style rear spoiler that clearly signal its track-ready capabilities. Leather and simulated suede line the driver-centric cockpit, but there is also luxury and convenience in abundance, most notably the center monitor that displays everything from navigation to lateral G-forces, engine diagnostics and lap times, the latter using a stopwatch controlled by buttons on the steering wheel.

Other standard GTR features include dual front, side and curtain air bags, traction, yaw and launch controls, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, Bose AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sat sound system, power heated front seats, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, power windows and locks, power heated mirrors, keyless entry and more, adding up to a stellar example of Nissan’s elite-level sports car.
