Launched in 1971 and remaining in production for some 18 years, few classics have enjoyed the same longevity as the Mercedes-Benz C107 SLC, and its two-seat R107 SL sibling. Nothing else blends performance, safety, and quality quite like the C107 does; it is the archetypical Mercedes-Benz experience. The two-door hard top SLC sat on a 14.2-inch longer wheelbase than the SL, providing space for two full-size rear seats, with the 2746cc M110 straight-six found in 280 models delivering brisk performance.
