Provenant de l'importante collection d'un passionné belge Carte grise française Châssis n° 826.134 1072 Moteur n°826.100 1256 - Seulement 178 exemplaires! - Restauration italienne de qualité - Modèle élégant et raffiné Présentée au Salon de Turin 1956, la Lancia Flaminia se voulait être le vaisseau amiral de la prestigieuse marque. Parmi les plusieurs versions qui en furent déclinées, le cabriolet s'avérait être d'une rare élégance, chef d'œuvre dû à Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni. A son dessin très réussi s'ajoutait un raffinement de construction hors du commun du à l'habileté proverbiale des chaudronniers de chez Touring.
Plusieurs motorisations étaient proposées, et le V6 2.8L à 3 carburateurs en était la plus puissante version. L'exemplaire présenté est l'un des 176 exemplaires produits en conduite à gauche et dotés de cette motorisation. Son précédent propriétaire français, un amateur avisé de la marque turinoise en fit l'acquisition au début des années 2000. En 2012, la voiture fut descendue par la route en Italie pour une restauration complète. LoPane Lab, carrossier italien de renom spécialiste de l'aluminium, s'occupa de la caisse. Elle avait préalablement été décapée à l'eau pour ne pas créer de microfissure dans l'aluminium par les établissements WWT basée à Cerdignano.
La teinte d'époque Bleu Lancia a été naturellement appliquée en brillant direct. Pour la mécanique, elle fut révisée chez GialloCorsa à Bergame. Le châssis, le freinage et les suspensions ont été revus. L'échappement et collecteur ainsi que le réservoir sont en inox. La dynamo a laissé place à un alternateur. Un allumage électronique ainsi qu'un ventilateur supplémentaire ont été montés. La sellerie magnolia est du "pieno fiore", elle a été refaite tout comme la capote par les établissements Maieili. Enfin, en 2022 l'embrayage a été changé et la transmission révisée.
Cette Lancia constitue une rarissime occasion d'accéder à la version la plus désirable de la lignée dans un état général superbe. One of several versions that were produced, the supremely elegant cabriolet was the masterpiece of Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni. The legendary team of engineers at Touring built a highly sophisticated machine using this successful design. Different engine sizes were available, with the triple carburettor V6 2.8-litre version being the most powerful.
The car on offer is one of 176 left-hand drive examples fitted with this engine. Its previous French owner, a knowledgeable enthusiast of the Turin-based brand, acquired it in the early 2000s. In 2012, the car was taken to Italy by road for a complete restoration. LoPane Lab, a renowned Italian coachbuilder specializing in aluminum, took care of the body. It had previously been stripped with water so as not to create microcracks in the aluminum by WWT, based in Cerdignano. The Lancia Blue period color was naturally applied as a direct gloss. The engine was overhauled at GialloCorsa in Bergamo. The chassis, brakes and suspensions have been serviced.
The exhaust and collector as well as the tank are made of stainless steel. The dynamo gave way to an alternator. Electronic ignition and an additional fan were fitted. The magnolia upholstery is "pieno fiore", it was redone just like the soft top by Maieili. Finally, in 2022 the clutch was changed, and the transmission overhauled.
