A rare Escort Harrier Limited Edition in need of some light restoration.
To commemorate their victory in the 1979 World Rally Championship, Ford introduced the Escort Mk2 'Harrier' in December 1979. Only 1,500 were built, 1,000 in Diamond White and 500 in Strato Silver.
The flat front and rubber rear RS spoiler combined with the unique three-toned blue body stripes help distinguish this as a 'Harrier' The Harrier specification included front quarter bumpers, Halogen headlamps, auxiliary driving lamps, rear spoiler, Triplex bronze-tinted glass, black door mirrors and handles, simulated leather covered sports steering wheel, Recaro front seats with head restraints, centre console incorporating quartz clock, heated rear window, tachometer, padded sun visors and 'Aeroflow' ventilation with eyeball vents. This example was first registered on 02/06/1980 and has been with our vendor since 30/11/2017. Most original fixtures present.
Recaro Seats with fishnet headrests retrimmed by Aldridge Trimming. Currently not running. The engine turns over but no oil pressure. We would encourage any prospective bidders to come along to the NEC and inspect the car so they can see for themselves what may or may not need doing.
