Chryslers were basically unchanged for 1956, but the cars got a completely different look via the addition of large finned rear fenders styled by Virgil Exner. New Yorkers remained at the top of the Chrysler hierarchy that was split into three series – the New Yorker, New Yorker Newport, and the New Yorker St. Regis; the latter a one model series consisting of a Two-Door Hardtop Coupe. Powered by a 354-cid, 280-hp Hemi V-8, a total of 6,686 were produced before the St. Regis would disappear at the end of the model year.

This tri-tone red, white and black coupe is beautifully presented with a contrasting white and gray cloth and vinyl interior. Paint and chrome are noted to be in good condition. Equipment includes the pushbutton TorqueFlite automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, power windows, AM radio and factory air conditioning.
