New Yorkers became a three model series for 1956 – the New Yorker, New Yorker Newport, and the New Yorker St. Regis. The Newport designation was used to denote the hardtop body style on coupe and sedans. Chryslers were basically unchanged from 1955, but given a new look via the addition of large finned rear fenders styled by the now-legendary Virgil Exner. Riding a 126-inch wheelbase, the New Yorker Newport cost $4,102 before options. Power was supplied by a 280-hp, 354-cid Hemi V-8 driven through at TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Chrysler built just 3,599 of them during 1956.

This handsome New Yorker is classic Fifties painted a combination of pink and white with a tan cloth interior. It is equipped with the pushbutton automatic transmission, power brakes, dual side mirrors, AM radio, power windows and wide whitewall tires.
