  • French title
  • Extremely rare model
  • Very good state of preservation (numerous maintenance invoices)
  • A bright future as part of a collection

The B10 3.5 litre 'atmo' was launched in 1988. Derived from the 535i, but with a reworked engine and suspension, it produced 254 bhp compared to the 211 of the original version. This model was intended to launch BMW's production M5, as it was unacceptable to the Munich-based brand that a 'small manufacturer' like Alpina should produce the most powerful 5 Series! Alpina then responded with the B10 Bi-Turbo, a second supercharged version derived from the E34. The Alpina on display was one of the first to be produced, bearing the number 14 on the identification plate. It was delivered new in Germany on 9 May 1988 after leaving the factory on 11 April 1988.

The car arrived at the home of a collector in the south of France in 2020. It was purchased by Laurent Guerin in 2016 and would benefit from a mechanical and aesthetic facelift (complete paintwork, Alpina decoration kit, renovation of the rims, renovation of the braking system, fitting of the stainless steel exhaust system, replacement of the electronic box, replacement of the bellows and universal joints, etc.) at a cost of €9,000. In 2023, it was acquired by a BMW enthusiast who brought it up to standard.

An upgrade was performed at BMW, including a leak check of the injectors and cleaning, as well as a service including spark plugs, oil change and filters (BMW Angers invoice of €2,100 at 153,000 km). It has covered an additional 900 km since this work was carried out and is now in optimum condition. Its handling is impressive, making it the perfect car for the family man in a hurry. It will be delivered with an invoice and follow-up file, as well as its Alpina certificate of authenticity. Please note that the car is sold without the French technical inspection.
