The 100 is the mid-size executive saloon responsible for writing the playbook that Audi still follows today. Quality and style with a flair of performance blended into respectable everyday usability built the brand, and the second-generation 100 launched in 1976 would see the debut of Audi's warbling inline-five-cylinder motor. At the top of the line sat the Audi 200, available in naturally aspirated or turbocharged form. The RS6 of its day, the Audi 200 Turbo set the bar for high-performance executive transportation. This manual Audi Coupe 2.3 has been delivered new in 1988.
Painted in red assorted to a grey velvet interior, this example was fitted with the 15" alloy wheels as well as the Audi Gamma radio and heated front seats. Bought by its last owner in 2002, the car was showing 130,127 km on the odometer as stated on the purchase invoice. Today, the car is showing 130,133 km and has been in static display for several years and by consequence, would require recommissioning and detailing prior to be driven.
