It broke from many styling traditions and forged a new trail for future Ferraris to follow. The hidden, pop-up headlights were gone, replaced by headlights under clear lenses. The sharper, creased edges leading to subtle curves were largely ousted by mostly subtle curves with a few creases. Flat surfaces were nearly nil. Internally, a new frame was made of Alcoa Aluminum and provided decreased weight and increased stiffness. In fact, the 360 Modena weighed just a gnat’s hair over 3,000 pounds.
